  • Not only does online tutoring work, but it works better when done properly. When online, tutors have the advantage of all of their worksheets and practice problems available on a whim. Along with whiteboards and screen-sharing, online tutoring offers many unique advantages that being in person simply cannot. Not to mention it is more accessible and comfortable for the students, allowing for consistent preparation and a better head space for learning. Understanding that we cannot let our students be too comfortable, however, our tutors are highly trained in making sessions interactive, interesting, and engaging to ensure that students maintain focus.

  • Yes we do! We offer in-person tutoring in the Los Angeles area. If you’re looking for in-person tutoring in a different city, contact us and we can look into accommodating you.

  • We provide tutoring for a wide range of subjects including elementary school topics, general K-12 subjects, advanced subjects like algebra, calculus, chemistry, as well as test preparation and college counseling.

  • Our tutors are current college and grad students from top-tier universities, selected for their strong academic performance and ability to connect with students.

  • Ali and Elena match tutors based on your student's subject needs, learning style, and academic goals to ensure the best fit for effective and personalized support.

  • The frequency of sessions depends on your student's needs and goals. We can work with you to develop a schedule that best supports their academic progress.

  • Simply contact us through our website or give us a call. We’ll discuss your student's needs and match them with a tutor who best fits their learning style and goals.

  • We offer flexible scheduling, but we ask for notice of any cancellations or rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance to accommodate other students and maintain a smooth schedule.

  • We accept Zelle or Credit/Debit cards through a secured Stripe invoice. While our first session is only charged if you choose to continue, we do require pre-payment afterward. In-person prices vary based on location. Our prices are found at mytotaltutor.com/pricing

  • If you or your student aren’t satisfied with the tutor, please let us know. We’re committed to finding the right fit and can arrange a different tutor who better meets your student’s needs and preferences. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we want to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
